The hurlers of Franner continued their recent fine form with a comfortable 12 point win over a determined Griffith Barracks. The early exchanges were tight and scores were hard to come by with a tricky cross field wind blowing. It looked to be heading to half time with the scores level until Jamie scored a great goal much to the delight of his dad and brother. Brian quickly added a second to give Franner a halftime lead. In the second half the boys picked up the pace with further goals from Joseph, Warren and Clayton, who scored with his first touch after coming on as a sub. Griffith Barracks scored a goal late on as Garreth was finally beaten. There were strong displays by all 19 players but special mention must be given to Luke, Daniel, Alex and Craig who were outstanding throughout. Paul was also excellent and played a storming game in midfield probably his best game for Franner.Well done lads another super performance from the Franner lads. Thanks to Byron’s mam and dad, Jamie’s dad and brother, Anthony’s mam and brother and Luke’s mam for supporting the boys.
