The hurlers of Franner put in a display of skill and determination to match any team while capturing their first Corn Dolphin cup. The boys put in a work manlike performance to beat the defending champions Scoil Iosagain on a scoreline of 5-9 to 2-3. The game began at a 100 miles an hour Scoil Iosagain threw everything they had at the Franner lads but the backs stood firm. Alex, Aidan, Cian B and Jack were outstanding while Craig and Daniel controlled their positions. The forwards were working hard too with Luke, Byron and Warren working hard for the team. With a minute to go in the first half Brian scored a goal and this proved to be the turning point of the match. The boys turned on the style in the 2nd half and everyone played superbly. Paul scoring 0-3, Cian M, 0-2 kept the scoreboard ticking over. Andre and Clayton both scored good goals and Joseph added 0-2. Captain Brian played brilliantly from start to finish scoring 3-2 in the process and recieved the cup on behalf of the team. Brian also recieved man of the match along with his brother Joseph on what was a great day for the team. It was a well deserved victory as the boys have trained 18 times since January and played 9 matches. Well done boys the whole school is so proud of you
