Yesterday our class went to Irish Aid headquarters. When we first went in two people met us, the man’s name was Micheal and the women’s name was Fiona. We learned all about Malawi and we also watched a video about a girl called Memory. She was only 18 years old and she got up at 5a.m to sweep, get water and cook for her sisters. She lives with her parents and helped them with the children. We learned about their foods like Indian corn[maize]. Like us they also eat potatoes. To try to prevent hunger they sometimes eat catterpillars!!! They rarely eat meat because it’s so expensive. We had a fanatstic time and we also played a giant game of snakes and ladders!!
