The hurlers of Franner started their league campaign with a hard fought 2-0 to 2-0 draw with long time rivals St Patrick’s of Ringsend. The game was played in terrible conditions with a strong wind and heavy rain blowing across the pitch. Franner started the stronger and there were great displays across the team. Lee W was outstanding in the backs as was Jardel, Aaron M and Graham. Alexander and Jack Q were dominant in midfield and Patrick, James and Evan were getting on a lot of ball. At halftime Franner led by 1-0 to 0-0 thanks to a goal by Evan. In the second half the boys from St Patrick’s started to get control of the game and scored 2 goals. It could have been more if Jack K hadn’t pulled 3 great saves. Franner continued to press with Aaron B, Daryl and Devids playing very well. We finally got our reward when Bobby scored a great goal on his debut. It was a great performance from the lads and they can look forward to the rest of the season with confidence. There were great performances from Royes, Lee C, Luke, Darragh, Michael, Aaron W, and Alfie in what was a great squad performance. Next up is a match with Scoil Iosagain this Thursday 27th of March in Dolphin Park at 2.30.
