When Friday morning in Gleneagles had begun there was a sense of anticipation as Paul McGinley walked out to hopefully retain his european teams Ryder Cup. As they started the mornings fourballs Rory Mcilroy was playing amazingly.Every drive was landing on the fairway every chip on the green every putt in the hole he was finishing off what was a great summer for him.It was 5-3 at the end of the first day after an impressive foursomes by the European team.
On the second day Justin Rose had a great start to the day as he was getting birdies every hole. However he and Martin Kaymer had an awful end to the day as Martin Kaymer was playing nothing like a US Open champion and luckily got a draw in their game as Europe were winning 10-6 coming up to the final day singles which would need a miracle for the USA to win the Ryder Cup.
On the final day Europe got off to a great start with Rory Mcilroy being 4 up through 8 holes against Rickie Fowler who has got his head shaved in the shape of USA However it was the rookie Jamie Donaldson who brought it home for Europe the final score was 16 and a half to 11 and a half.
