For four weeks, Ms. Feeney’s fifth class had been working really hard with volunteers from Google to come up with creative ideas for apps! On Friday 13th February, they made their trip to Google to present their ideas to Google’s Dragons in their separate groups. They were nervous beforehand, but they did so fantastically and got so much praise from the staff at Google (and gift bags)!
In the end, a winning group had to be picked by the Dragons and it was the Franner Business Boys – Sean Killalee, Dylan Ebbs-Lacey, Myles Howe and Ben Mulhall – with their Mental Health app, which was geared towards young people. Congratulations boys!
We’re also going to say congratulations to Sean Gallagher who won the prize for Best Speaker. His group was Francis St. Boys!
Everyone was so well behaved and we had so much fun during our tour of the Google office. We would love to be able to visit again.
