Francis St. C.B.S. parents and boys got off to a great start in the new year by participating in the Dublin 8 “Operation Transformation” programme. This kick started at the beginning of January with a nutritional talk for the parents by a dietitian in St. Catherine’s Community Centre in Donore Ave. The parents were offered the opportunity to go to St. Catherine’s for a weigh in and a free exercise class every Thursday morning. Parents of children in Francis St. C.B.S. and St. Brigid’s also had a exercise class in St. Brigid’s hall every Tuesday and met for a power walk every Wednesday morning. Meanwhile the boys in Francis st. C.B.S. were completing 15 minutes of high intensity exercise every day in school. This included non stop moving exercises, stations, obstacles courses etc. This programme lasted for 6 week and everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone felt fitter, healthier and more positive for the year ahead. Keep it up!
