Wednesday 21st June. On Wednesday we celebrated our annual Franner Fun Day where the school was converted into a house of fun with games, activities and shows!
Firstly we had a reptile zoo visit the school where the boys were able to experience reptiles including a Chilean Rose Tarantula, a Burmese Python, Black and White Tegu, an Australian Waterdragon and finally a Leopard Tortoise. The boys learned about the interesting animals and were given the opportunity to hold and touch them under the supervision of zookeeper Johnny.
Along with this the yard was converted into a funfair where each class had time to play the games trying to win tickets. The boys played Guess the Teacher, Ping Pong, Welly Toss, Bowling and Bean Bag toss, along with music from resident DJ Alex McMahon and delicious food from our school barbecue, a special thanks to Paul Donnelly from the Parents Association for his help!
With the tickets won the boys could then play sponge the teacher where they exchanged tickets for a wet sponge and the boys made sure they did not miss!
An amazing day was had by everybody and we are already looking forward to seeing what next year has in store. Thanks to all the teachers and parents who helped out, and a special thanks to Ms. Browne for organising the day, Go Franner!
