Bee-lieve in each other

Welcome back students and a special welcome to all of our new students. We hope you have been made to feel very welcome and enjoy your time here at Francis Street School.

It’s so great to see so many fresh faces back this September. We hope you’ve all had a lovely break this summer and made lots of nice memories with your families and friends.

Our school has been a hive of activity over the summer with many staff coming in to de-clutter, clean and prepare classrooms for the school year ahead – many thanks to all who gave up their time.

We have noticed some incredible behaviour and excellent timekeeping already these last two weeks and such enthusiasm in classes. We cannot wait to see what the children will produce in their work this year!

We are pleased to welcome two new teachers to our team in the school this year, Molly Moynihan and Sinéad Nicholson who will be working hard with the students and are looking forward to getting stuck into the many fun activities and events that we in Franner are involved in.

You may have noticed that we have renamed our school to Francis Street School – check out our cool new school exterior! We also plan to focus heavily on our social media and website this year, so keep an eye out for updates and please follow us on Twitter - @FrancisStSchool and Instagram francis.street.school in the meantime.

For your information, our designated safeguarding liaison person is myself, Fiona Collins. If you have any safeguarding or child protection concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Finally, we would just like to wish everyone a very happy and positive start to the new school year. We are very honoured to have this wonderful school, and such amazing students with such supportive parents.

Best wishes,

Fiona Collins

Principal.
